  Good evening Brothers, 

  The Brothers of the Mu Alpha Chapter plan on hosting a Manly Deeds Workshop later this month on October 29th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During this workshop, we are partnering with the Black Men's Initiative (BMI), a student organization on campus that works on fostering and retaining black men at Emory University. This workshop will serve as an opportunity to discuss the topic of masculinity as well as how to tie a tie. Through these efforts, we would like to provide free ties to the attendees of the event, so we can show everyone how to properly tie a tie as many undergraduate men don't know how to. If possible, we would like to collect ties - preowned or new - to distribute at the event. We will come with a box to collect at this upcoming NML chapter meeting.

  We would like to invite you to be a part of our Annual Real Men Read Event at Stoneview Elementary School on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 8:30AM - 11:30AM.  We will pair classes with fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and community volunteers for a school-wide reading celebration.  We are asking the men of Lithonia and surrounding areas to come together for this special event.  We want our students to see that real men read, too!

  Volunteer readers will gather in the Stoneview Media Center for announcements and refreshments. You will be escorted to your designated classroom.  We will provide great, age-appropriatebooks for all readers, but you may bring a favorite grade appropriate book if you wish.  

  Please consider joining us on Thursday, November 7, 2024, to share a few books with some of our “future leaders.”  Our goal is to gather at least 60 men at Stoneview to read with our students.  To volunteer to read, please RSVP by using the link.
